Self- Confidence is something that many people, especially teenagers, lack. It seems so many teenagers try to change or adapt themselves to conform to society's idea of 'beauty'. This can create depression, eating disorders, anxiety and so many more mental and physical damage.
Self- Confidence was one of the reasons I, for many years, have feared food, restricted, hated and 'damaged' myself. But its not just me, so many teenagers go through the same thing and nobody will ever know.
Now, I watch a youtuber called Trisha Paytas (blndsundoll4mj) and she is an ex-stripper who is labeled 'fat'. In my opinion, she is beautifully curvy and she PREACHES being 'bigger'. When she thinks she looks good in a video SHE WILL SAY IT. Many people find her conceited, but I think her confidence in herself despite the hate she gets, helps other girls who are feeling horrible about their weight, face etc.
BUT ITS NOT JUST CURVIER PEOPLE!!! What I hate most is people who 'skinny shame' if you're 'bigger'. For instance, I HATE THE SONG ALL ABOUT THAT BASE and ANACONDA. All they do is skinny shame and it pisses me off to be perfectly honest. It is alright to sing about your body type, BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ABUSE THE OTHER!!!!
In any case, recently I have been feeling really confident in my self, and no I'm not over-confident, but I feel comfortable for once and I know I'm not skinny, but I love myself. A picture on Instagram I saw read: You might as well get confident in your own body, as this is the body you'll have for the rest of your life.
Now if you're reading this, you may be one of these people who have that one little thing that you want to change about yourself, remember,
YOU ARE YOU. YOU ARE SPECIAL AND BEAUTIFUL PERSON. WHATEVER YOU THINK ABOUT YOURSELF, YOU ARE BETTER THAN THAT.
Thank you.
